Homemade Ketchup

Ketchup is made from tomatoes, sugar, vinegar and spices. If you really want to try your own ketchup here is the recipe:

Since the homemade tomato ketchup is only lasting one week without refrigeration, it is maybe best to make only a small amount for your next barbecue or birthday party.


Recipe for homemade tomato ketchup:

500 grams tomatoes
1 half clove of garlic
1 half onion
3 tsp vinegar
1-2 tsp sugar
salt and pepper

Blanch the 500 gr tomatoes so that the skin can be easily solved. Cut them into quaters, mix them and blend them carefully for 10 minutes while stirring. Add the half clove of garlic and the onion mix it again. Add the vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper and cook it quiet and gradually for one hour.
